Hi there!

Game jam is now over, and I was not idle in the meantime.

I reworked all the demo from the beginning, there is no additionnal content but it required lots of work. Thanks to all the suggestions and feedback, lots of them made it in the game:

  • doors
  • proper WASD (I will put an option for ZQSD later for azerty keyboards)
  • much more interactions with gun and bombs (it is often useless, but discovering things requires more thought)
  • a tiny bit of improvement in display (items and map)

What's next?

Now I have to work on content, fill those rooms with lots of original challenges evocative of metroidvanias.

I know that lots of players have been held back by the RNG, but it will remain a key element of the full game. I will be careful to follow guidelines to not make it too frustrating:

  • reasonable odds
  • for difficult odds, reasonable consequences
  • you live with good decision making, you die with very bad decisions

Also, the weapons will behave a little bit differently than other items. Every item is available once unlocked, but you will be able to have only one weapon equipped at a time. Use the right weapon at the right time!

 I am currently in a bug fix phase post release on my main project Cool Headed, however I am already putting work in this project. I won't be releasing any update before at least 2 months, when all rooms are done. After that it will be time to release, then fix bugs.
